What is 52 blocks? I been trying to find out all day. To me it just looks like a stonewall guard incorporated with elements of muay thai and classical martial arts instead of just boxing. Is this basically what it is or no?

52 is interesting to me because I utilize shoulder rolls, elbow blocks, and cross guard in my boxing, and has always wondered if it could transfer over to other arts.

Yoel needs more head movement if he's gonna use that technique.

Yoel Romero is my favorite UFC fighter right now underrated to me cuz he didn't have many UFC fights do to the fact of being a Olympian in wrestling great boxer he implements the 52 block principles and movements will the only problem was the part where he was getting kicked this has to be like my 30th time watching this video

Much respect to the 52 blocks community. Love L.B. I have heard guys that have been to prison that have youtube channels. The have said they've never seen or it's rare to see someone get knocked out with 1 punch. HOWEVER, the fights they've seen where people do get knocked out is from wrestlers SCOOPING guys and dumping them on they head on concrete. And grapples do very well in small spaces. I do agree with you that you do have to have some type of strikes that's fine. But if your bread and butter is to close the gap and take it to the ground that's what's going to happen. I say go to ANY BJJ school and ask the coaches there could you test your 52 blocks against bjj and let me know how that turns out. Im willing to bet most schools would have no problem with that. Yeah you could land that punch that ends it all. That's true. But if he gets you off your feet and on the ground, your gonna loose. Let me know how it goes.

yes i saw this fight and i was the only one in sport bar knew about the 52 blocks that yoel romero applied i think having diffrent styles of fighting under your belt is key.. 52 blocks is good but mixing it up in a real world fight because every fighting style has pros and cons
